Africa Karjalia weekend

This weekend there Africa-Karjalia meeting was held in Kitee from the 25-27 April, 2009. Unfortunately, I could only manage to attend on Sunday.

Sunday started with some seriously palatable breakfast followed by a church service. Can you believe that I was asked to read from Hebrews 13:20-21. After the mass we went to the community hall where we attended a concert by the Folch choir.

After the concerned we were treated to some tasty lunch. This was followed by more music from the community and the attending groups from the University of Joensuu. The Africans had also invited to this weekend meeting their student friends from from Russia, Karzakstan, Maldives, and Napal.

After lunch and music the formal Africa-Karjalia began starting with the board meeting followed by the AGM. Supper followed and immediately there after we got into the cars and headed back to Joensuu. What a beautiful day
